The Boogie, Part 1
July 17th 2008
Boogie, what can I say. Had a great time.
Got a chance to do most everything I had planned. Was able to see the main acts,
some of the Day Stage Acts and get pictures of the Tattoo contest (loved that).
Actually went on the radio with Stoner, WTNA 88.5. He asked me a question that
was hard to answer right then: What is the biggest change I've seen in ABATE
since I became a member. Couldn't answer that one, can now...
The biggest change I've noticed is our emissive from getting the helmet off our
heads to trying to train our people to survive on these streets. I feel the task
was easier in 1985 then it is today. At that time we only had to convince half
of Congress and a Governor, today we have over 168,000 motorcyclist to teach!
So much for the soap box. If you missed the Boogie, there couldn't have asked
for better weather. Like always - ride hard and live free!!
